Just south of Portland, this trail runs south from Scarborough to West Kennebunk, mostly on crushed stone and asphalt. South Carolina: Spanish Moss Trail, Beaufort - Port Royal, 12 miles. There are over 80 miles of mountain bike trails and a recently added 16 miles of paved trail for road bikers to enjoy. Just look for the intersection of Royal Palms Parkway and Belle Terre Parkway on the southwest side of Palm Coast. Virginia: Virginia Capital Trail, Richmond - Jamestown, 52 miles. Amenities such as restaurants and bike shops are convenient to the trail in a number of spots. The eastern end of the trail begin just North of the old cement plant chimney off Colbert Lane.
